Job Description

In this role, you will be part of a product development team to manage and deliver new product functionalities, modify existing product functionalities, improve product functionalities or provide L3 support as required.

The developer will work with the product manager and engineering manager with minimum technical guidance in the software development team lead for the design, development, and test of software programs for various cloud ecosystems.

You will work within a multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers, programmers, and scientists focusing on applied research and new technology innovations to provide new and improved products and IOT solutions for customers in the Building Management System domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable software platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define platform architecture and technical requirements.
  • Oversee the integration of new technologies and ensure the platforms performance, security, and reliability.
  • Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the platform remains competitive.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 6 - 8 years of relevant software design, development, and testing experience. Software platform development experience preferred. Working knowledge of building automation and industrial automation systems will be an added advantage.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in software development and platform architecture.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or .net core.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
