Job Overview

The Network Engineer at HealthEdge will be responsible for managing and optimizing network components, ensuring network reliability and security. This role requires strong technical skills, including proficiency in managing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless networks, Citrix Netscalers, Cisco ISE, and NSX for VMware.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize network components to ensure network reliability and security.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting for traditional and SDN environments, particularly NSX for VMware.
  • Drive automation initiatives by utilizing scripting languages (e.g., Python) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible) to streamline network operations and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate across teams with system administrators, security specialists, and application developers to align network infrastructure with business objectives, including NSX integration.
  • Perform network upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption, focusing on seamless NSX deployment and integration.
  • Evaluate new technologies, products, and services, making recommendations for network improvements, particularly with NSX for VMware and other network devices.
  • Handle implementation and operational tasks for Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud networking setups.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in managing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless networks, Citrix Netscalers, Cisco ISE, and NSX for VMware.
  • Strong understanding of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting in both traditional and SDN environments.
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible) and scripting languages (Python).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, PagerDuty).
  • Knowledge of network security policies and procedures.
  • Experience with cloud networking in Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Soft Skills:

Certifications:
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
  • VMware NSX Certification.
