Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Risk Manager to lead our risk management efforts. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective credit risk models and frameworks in an unsecured rural/semi-urban lending context.

  • Develop and implement credit risk models and associated frameworks to ensure accurate risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Implement and monitor credit risk strategies across the lending life cycle, including acquisition, underwriting, cross-sell, and collections.
  • Analyze portfolio trends and identify early warning signals to track portfolio quality on accepted risk parameters.
  • Review and update risk policies to reflect dynamic external environment and internal risk appetite.
  • Prepare MIS/Dashboards and apprise senior management on changing market conditions.
  • Regularly review processes for adherence to risk policies and check if controls are effectively in place and working.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to strengthen the risk framework.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Strategic Risk Manager, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a reputable institution.
  • 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in a financial services industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in Python and SQL is mandatory.
  • Excellent understanding of data and ability to bring insights.
  • Solid knowledge of statistical models.
  • Experience in Microfinance/MSME Lending will be an added advantage.
