About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Statistical Programmer to join our organization. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining programs that generate analysis datasets, tables, and figures.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in statistical programming and a strong understanding of data analysis techniques. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive programming support, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality statistical outputs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming & Data Analysis:
  • Develop and maintain programs to create analysis datasets, tables, and figures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statistical standards.
  • Source, organize, and interpret complex data sets, utilizing advanced coding techniques to ensure data integrity and usability.
  • Provide comprehensive statistical programming support to statisticians and other stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues with efficiency.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Collaborate with statisticians and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality statistical outputs.
  • Ensure effective communication and teamwork with cross-functional teams.
  • Direct the work of junior professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure project success.
Process Improvement
  • Evaluate existing programming processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement revisions to enhance productivity.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of processes and programs.
Professional Development
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in statistical programming and data analysis techniques.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge to deliver innovative solutions.
Qualifications
  • Education: An advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in statistical programming and data analysis.
  • Technical Skills:
    • A strong knowledge of programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • A strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
    • The ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
    Certifications
    • SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 or an equivalent certification is preferred.
    • Any certification in data analysis or statistical programming is also a plus.
