Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Medico Hub Connect. As an OT Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Occupational Therapist and contributing to the overall rehabilitation process for patients with eye-related conditions.

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Provide support during therapy sessions and exercises
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing and grooming
• Help maintain a clean and organized therapy environment
• Document patient progress and report to the Occupational Therapist
• Monitor and maintain therapy equipment
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
• Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy
• Participate in training and educational sessions to stay updated on best practices
• Adhere to all hospital and therapy department policies and procedures

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Licensure or certification as an OT Assistant
• Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting
• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Empathetic and patient-centered approach
• Basic understanding of medical terminology
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Physical stamina and ability to assist patients with physical activities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Knowledge of therapy equipment and its maintenance
• Adherence to ethical and professional standards
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
