Robotics Engineer

Job Role :
A key player in our robotics team will be responsible for crafting software and algorithms essential for deploying and validating end-to-end autonomous driving capabilities in vehicles.
This will entail ownership of critical areas such as localization, sensor fusion, control systems, and sensor interfacing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and refine high-precision localization software to ensure accurate vehicle positioning, incorporating GPS-RTK, AHRS, and other technologies to function effectively across diverse environments.
- Ensure the synchronization and performance optimization of multi-sensor data streams, including cameras, LiDARs, and other relevant systems.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of these systems under various environmental conditions to guarantee optimal performance.
- Create data logging systems that prioritize performance optimization and necessary transformations.
- Work on developing internal tools for sensor calibration, including intrinsic and extrinsic parameters.
- Develop automated calibration routines to streamline the calibration process, including online calibration.
- Develop and tune advanced control algorithms for autonomous vehicle navigation and maneuvering.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of these algorithms in simulated and real-world scenarios to ensure their reliability and effectiveness.
- Take responsibility for testing end-to-end models on DbW vehicles and validating the results against predefined test cases.
Preferred Qualifications :
- 2-6 years of experience working with robotics startups or relevant roles, showcasing hands-on expertise in the mentioned areas.
- Proficiency in autonomous vehicle technology and understanding of its unique challenges.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies such as SLAM, machine learning, and computer vision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts effectively.
