Job Description

As a Data Scientist, you will be working remotely from India, collaborating with a US-based client. This is an immediate opportunity to leverage your skills and expertise in AI/ML and software development.

Key Requirements
  • Proficiency in AI/ML with experience in LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
  • Production deployment of AI systems using frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen
  • Ability to build AI systems that can call external APIs and functions
  • Basic prompt engineering techniques, including Chain-of-Thought and ReAct patterns
Technical Skills
  • Strong Python fundamentals with at least 3 years of development experience
  • API development using Flask or FastAPI with proper error handling
  • Async programming skills for concurrent operations
  • Database integration with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases
  • JSON/REST APIs consumption and building
Production Systems
  • Experience in building production software serving real users
  • Error handling and logging for robust system design
  • Basic cloud deployment using AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Git/version control collaboration using Git workflows
  • Testing fundamentals, including unit testing and integration testing
Business Process
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Data quality recognition and handling
  • Exception handling for edge cases and errors
Software Engineering
  • Total software development experience of at least 3 years
  • At least one production AI project deployed to production
  • Cross-functional collaboration with non-technical stakeholders
  • Problem-solving skills, including debugging complex technical issues
Communication & Collaboration
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and code comments
  • Stakeholder communication for explaining technical concepts
  • Independent work with minimal supervision
  • Learning agility for quickly picking up new technologies and frameworks
Educational Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • OR equivalent experience with demonstrable technical skills through projects/work

Demonstrable Skills (Portfolio Requirements): Must Show Evidence Of One working AI application - GitHub repo or live demo of LLM integration Python projects - code samples showing API development and data processing Production deployment - any application currently running and serving users Problem-solving ability - examples of debugging complex issues or optimizing performance Nice to Have: Financial services or fintech experience Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate) experience Docker/containerization knowledge Advanced ML/AI education or certifications
