Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper approvals and adherence to accounting policies.
  • Manage payments to vendors, following terms and schedules, and reconcile payments with vendor statements.
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger monthly with the general ledger, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors to resolve payment inquiries, disputes, and account-related issues.
  • Assist in expense report preparation and review, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate records for sales tax and 1099 reporting, adhering to U.S. tax laws.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years in accounts payable or related finance roles, with a strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
  • Experience with QuickBooks and knowledge of U.S. tax laws (1099, sales tax).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and generating ageing reports and MIS reports.
