Job Description

The role of Data Platform Engineering Lead is to spearhead the design and scaling of our enterprise SaaS and AI-driven products' data foundation.

  • Architect a clean, scalable model, drive data platform strategy, and foster a high-velocity product development culture.

You will be responsible for:

Data Modeling & Infrastructure
  • Designing and maintaining robust semantic layers and modular dbt pipelines
  • Defining and enforcing data platform best practices, versioning, and governance across all data models
  • Implementing data testing, observability, and quality automation to ensure confidence at scale

Mentorship & Leadership

  • Mentoring a growing team of engineers and participating in architecture planning and reviews
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship reliable data-backed features

This position requires:

  • 10+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles
  • Deep expertise in designing and maintaining normalized and dimensional data models
  • Advanced proficiency in dbt (macros, packages, tests, modularization, docs)
  • Expertise in SQL, with a focus on PostgreSQL
  • Strong Python scripting skills for transformation logic and automation

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience with tools in the modern data stack, including dbt, PostgreSQL, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Great Expectations, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and IaC
  • Familiarity with metadata/lineage platforms like Monte Carlo, Atlan, or DataHub
