Job Title: Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L1)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L1) to join our team at NTT DATA. As a key member of our managed services team, you will be responsible for providing proactive and reactive support to our clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor client infrastructure and solutions to identify potential issues and prevent downtime
  • Investigate and resolve technical incidents and problems in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide telephonic or chat support to clients, ensuring a positive and professional experience
  • Schedule maintenance activity windows for patching and configuration changes, ensuring minimal disruption to clients
  • Follow established handover procedures to ensure seamless service continuity
  • Report and escalate incidents as necessary, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on clients
  • Update knowledge articles and create new ones to improve incident resolution and knowledge sharing
  • Identify opportunities for work optimization, automation, and process improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience)
  • Certifications relevant to the services provided (certifications carry additional weightage on a candidate's qualification for the role)
  • Relevant certifications include: CCNA, Network Security certification, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified: Solutions Architect Associate, Veeam Certified Engineer, VMware certified Professional: Data Centre Virtualization, Zerto, pure, vxrail, Google Cloud Platform (gcp), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (oci)
  • Entry-level experience with troubleshooting and providing support in security/network/data centre/systems/storage administration and monitoring services within a medium to large ICT organisation
  • Basic knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and products within the supported technical domain (i.e. Security, Network, Data Centre, Telephony, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL processes
