About the Role

The Plant Quality Head will oversee all quality assurance and control processes at our manufacturing facility for LV electrical panels. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards for LV electrical panel manufacturing.
  • Monitor and control quality processes across all stages of production from raw material inspection to final product testing.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to achieve quality objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and customer-specific requirements for LV electrical panels.
  • Drive initiatives for process optimization, defect reduction, and quality improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.
  • Oversee testing procedures, including dielectric tests, temperature rise tests, and short-circuit withstand tests, to ensure product reliability and safety.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications and conduct supplier audits as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer queries, complaints, and audits.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, prepare reports, and present quality performance metrics to senior management.
  • Identify potential quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate them.
  • Conduct training programs for employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role within the LV electrical panel or similar electrical manufacturing industry.
  • A strong understanding of LV electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards.
  • Expertise in QMS, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA, Pareto charts, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or certifications in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, CQE) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the LV electrical panel or similar electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of LV electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards (e.g., IEC 61439, UL 508A).
  • Skills: Expertise in QMS, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC). Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA, Pareto charts, and root cause analysis. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards is highly desirable.
