Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Analytics & Modeling
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms, including generative AI, uplift modeling, and causal inference, to drive personalized customer experiences.
  • Lead the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to enhance personalization strategies and optimize customer engagement.
  • Develop expertise in neural networks and graph neural networks for advanced personalization solutions.
  • Implement trip ranking and route optimization models to enhance user experience and efficiency.
  • Design strategies and models to determine what and when to cross-sell to customers, maximizing customer value and engagement.
Data Strategy & Management
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure robust data pipelines and high-quality data for analysis.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data infrastructure and architectures to support advanced personalization analytics.
Business Collaboration & Insights
  • Work closely with product managers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive personalization and customer value.
  • Translate complex analytical insights into actionable personalization strategies and business recommendations.
Innovation & Research
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in deep learning, generative AI, uplift modeling, and causal inference methodologies.
  • Lead research initiatives to explore new methodologies, tools, and technologies that can be applied to MakeMyTrip's personalization efforts.
Mentorship & Leadership
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the data science team.
QualificationsEducation

Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering impactful analytics solutions.
  • Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and proficiency in generative AI techniques.
  • Strong expertise in uplift modeling and causal inference methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience with modern data and machine learning platforms and tools such as Databricks, MLFlow, MLOps, and AWS SageMaker.
Skills
  • Strong expertise in advanced machine learning, deep learning, and data mining techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in personalization, particularly in the travel or e-commerce industry, is a plus.
