Renewable Energy Systems Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of renewable energy systems at project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Monitor Electrical Works: Oversee all electrical works on-site, including installation of equipment and cable routing.
  • Review and Interpret Drawings: Review and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), string configurations, and layout plans.
  • Oversee LV/MV Systems and Grounding/Eathering Systems: Oversee the installation of LV/MV systems, grounding/earthing systems, protection systems, and monitoring equipment.
  • Coordinate with Project Teams: Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Conduct Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Activities: Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for systems, including insulation resistance tests, continuity checks, and equipment testing.
  • Monitor Subcontractor Performance: Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain Quality Records: Maintain accurate daily site logs, quality reports, material inspections, and testing records.
  • Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Troubleshoot technical issues and propose practical on-site solutions to maintain progress and quality.
  • Implement HSE Procedures: Implement HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) procedures during installations and inspections.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's is a plus.
  • Solar PV System Experience: 10 years of experience in solar PV system installation and supervision.
  • Strong Knowledge of Solar PV System Components: Strong knowledge of solar PV system components (inverters, modules, combiner boxes, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Electrical Safety Standards: Familiarity with electrical safety standards and testing equipment.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to be Based On-Site: Willingness to be based on-site in Liberia.
