Marketplace Business Manager Role

As a Marketplace Business Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive supply and demand within a specific marketplace.

This role involves managing end-to-end business operations, planning and executing scale-up initiatives, and creating predictable profit pools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive supply and demand within the marketplace.
  • Understand local supply and demand trends, competitor activities, and use insights to form plans for growth opportunities.
  • Identify revenue and cost-saving opportunities to maximise profits.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to optimise costs and enhance revenue.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of produce and experience to customers.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Professionals with 2-5 years of experience in key account management roles with end-to-end responsibility.
  • Managing rural areas sales exposure is preferred.
  • B2B sales exposure in FMCG/Ecommerce industries with hands-on understanding of credit facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong first principle thinking, ability to identify and solve problem statements end to end.
  • Should have managed operations, with a track record of bringing processes efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

Travel Requirements:

Frequent travel to rural areas in the assigned geography.
