Job Title: Electrical Systems Specialist

Are you an expert in electrical systems with a passion for innovative solutions? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams? We're seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design main electrical equipment and materials for complex power plant projects.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications and data sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform electrical equipment and material sizing calculations to optimize system performance.
  • Develop control and protection schematics and SLDs to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Request inquiries and purchases of HV electrical equipment to meet project requirements.
  • Design and review OHLs to ensure reliable transmission.
  • Review generation/grid interconnections to ensure seamless integration.
  • Conduct power system studies to identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate technical bids for HV electrical equipment to select the best option.
  • Collaborate with other technical disciplines to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and awareness of health, safety, and environmental issues.
  • Manage engineering vendor data to maintain accurate records.
  • Report engineering status and progress to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience working in the electrical discipline in an engineering company.
  • Proven track record of designing for HV electrical equipment and materials.
  • Strong understanding of power system studies and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent English language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
