Job Title: Automation Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced automation professional to join our team. As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in test automation, backend validation, and CI/CD integration in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts using various programming languages and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable test strategies.
  • Participate in business requirement discussions and provide expert guidance on test automation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases and test data.
  • Work closely with development and product teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to test strategy and planning for new features and enhancements.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
  • Exposure to automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Cucumber is a plus.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity in requirements and data dependencies.
  • Perform functional automation, assist with unit testing, API testing, security testing, DevOps, and performance testing activities.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the software development process and contribute to process improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain test reports, including defect tracking and metrics analysis.
  • Mentor junior team members in automation design, best practices, and implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in test automation, SDET, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of trade life cycle and related financial processes testing.
  • Proven ability to lead requirement discussions and derive test cases independently.
  • Familiarity with test management tools, such as JUnit, SoapUI, Postman, Selenium, TestNG, JavaScript, Jest, Rest Assured, Cucumber, TDD, BDD, Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience in testing REST APIs, messaging solutions, relational/NoSQL databases, and microservices architecture.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced Agile/Scrum teams and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
