Purchase Engineer Role Summary

\

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchase Engineer to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong procurement skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of project requirements.

\

The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and evaluating vendors for mechanical, electrical, and project-related materials. They will also prepare and process purchase orders based on project requirements and company policies, negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement, and coordinate with project teams to understand technical requirements.

\

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Purchase Engineer will maintain a vendor database and evaluate supplier performance, follow up with suppliers for order details and logistics tracking, and prepare purchase reports and maintain documentation.

\

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong negotiation and cost optimization skills, as well as excellent communication and coordination skills. ERP software knowledge is preferred but not required.

\

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Procurement Process Expertise: Strong knowledge of EPC/Project procurement processes is essential for success in this role.\
  • Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Understanding: A deep understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment is necessary to select and evaluate vendors effectively.\
  • Vendor Development and Relationship Management: The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors is critical to this role.\
  • Negotiation and Cost Optimization Skills: Excellent negotiation and cost optimization skills are required to secure the best possible deals for the company.\
  • ERP Software Knowledge: While not required, ERP software knowledge is preferred to streamline procurement processes.\
  • Communication and Coordination Skills: Excellent communication and coordination skills are necessary to work effectively with project teams and vendors.
