Decision Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Decision Scientist to join our team. This role is critical in bridging the communication and cultural gap between teams, ensuring that insights and solutions are effectively understood and implemented.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as a bridge between stakeholders and global teams by communicating requirements, insights, and recommendations in both Japanese and English.
  • Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and identify opportunities where data-driven insights can impact decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement analytics solutions aligned with business goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in business analytics, data science, or consulting roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) and professional fluency in English (verbal & written).
  • Hands-on experience with analytical tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or equivalent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in ambiguous, client-facing environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence stakeholders across cultures.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Prior experience working with Japanese clients or in the Japan market.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data management and analytics.
