About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Developer to join our team at Epam. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of Java applications using SQL, Spring, and Hibernate frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Java applications with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and implement new features
  • Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and guidelines
  • Engage in requirement gathering and analysis
  • Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code reliability
  • Integrate software components and third-party programs
  • Ensure adherence to security and data protection regulations
  • Oversee project timelines and deliverables

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Java Developer
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership role
  • Proficient in Java programming and object-oriented design principles
  • Knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
  • Strong grasp of SQL and experience with distributed storage systems
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks such as Angular or React
  • Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, and other RDBMS tools
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Experience in Unix/Linux environments
