Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data solutions, including architectural design, prototyping, and proof of concept analysis.
  • Analyze and develop standards, design, and test plans for data solutions.
  • Implement data solutions that follow efficient design techniques and meet the intent of the design.
  • Assist with the planning and engineering of the organization's databases.
Requirements
  • 8 years of experience in development and maintenance of logical and physical database models.
  • Hands-on experience with migration of an Oracle database to AWS.
  • Actively developing PL/SQL DDL DDM scripts for large/complex data tables.
  • Experience with supporting Linux, Solaris, and Windows systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration.
  • Experience with database schema as code tools.
  • Ability to design and develop complex SQL queries and reports to retrieve required data.
  • Ability to develop DDL and DDM to support changes to Oracle tables.
  • Experience with database partitioning and microservices.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle.
  • Experience in installation, maintenance, and administration of Oracle and AWS.
  • Experience analyzing and tuning queries to improve performance.
  • Experience configuring, integrating, patching, and securing Oracle databases.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with code reviews on SQL change sets and work with developers to create and enforce best practices.
  • Exposure to security scanning tools, configuring their use, and working with teams to fix vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with ETL and Data Warehousing methods.
  • Experience with Replication technologies such as AWS DMS or Oracle GoldenGate.
