Job Profile Overview

As a Pharmacist, you play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe dispensation of medications. Your primary responsibility will be to receive patients with a smile, greet them warmly, and maintain good relations with customers/doctors.

  • You will receive and transcribe prescriptions from customers, advise on medicine dosage, and provide counseling if needed. It is essential to dispense medicines pursuant to a doctor's prescription, making necessary arrangements for 100% prescription fulfillment if prescribed medicines are unavailable.
  • Substitution of medicines will be done after consulting with the doctor or informing the customer. You must cross-check issued medicines with bills regarding patient name, item name, quantity, expiry, batch number, and acknowledge the bill.
  • Proper storage of drugs under refrigeration conditions is crucial. Maintain a free home delivery register and follow up on medicine deliveries to customers in time.
  • Prepare bills in POS and collect cash. Check quantity, MRP, batch number, and date of expiry of received items from DC. Enter stocks in POS and print receipts from DC/Distributor for cross-checking with issue lists from DC.
  • Maintain records for non-stock items and follow up accordingly. Ensure 100% physical stock tally according to category (Tablets, Syrups, Injections, Fluids, Ointments, Liquids, Capsules, Powders, Drops, Surgical, Miscellaneous) twice a week.
  • Perform daily rack-wise verification of fast-moving items. Handle inbound calls focusing on drug information, patient counseling/education, and free home delivery orders.
  • Address patient queries and issues regarding drug therapy and drug information. Handle cash in billing counters as needed. Perform other jobs assigned by the in-charge as per work exigencies.
  • Ensure smooth shift hand-over and take-over before leaving the work area.
