About Us:

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for customizing and extending WordPress themes and plugins, developing new features using PHP and WordPress best practices, and ensuring the optimal performance of our platform.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customize and extend WordPress themes and plugins to meet business requirements.
  2. Develop and implement new features using PHP and WordPress best practices.
  3. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, including complex PHP code.
  4. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Optimize website performance, including load speed and security enhancements.
  6. Collaborate with the team on various web development projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  7. Work on tight timelines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  8. Stay updated with the latest WordPress, PHP, and web development technologies.
  9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform by exploring new technologies and best practices.

Tools and Technologies:

  • Version Control: Git (GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab) for managing code repositories and collaboration.
  • Development Environment: Local development environments like XAMPP, MAMP, WAMP, or Docker for WordPress setup.
  • Cloud Platforms: Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for hosting and deployment purposes.
  • Frontend Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including jQuery or modern frameworks like React).
  • PHP Standards: Knowledge of PSR (PHP Standards Recommendations) coding standards and practices.
  • Database Management: MySQL or MariaDB for managing WordPress databases, writing complex SQL queries, and optimization.
  • Debugging Tools: Familiarity with tools like Xdebug, Query Monitor, and browser developer tools for troubleshooting.
  • Task Management: Experience using project management tools (Trello, Jira, Asana) for task tracking and collaboration.

Requirements:

  1. For Freshers: Demonstrated interest in WordPress and PHP development (through projects, internships, or coursework).
  2. For Experienced Developers: 1-5 years of experience in PHP and WordPress development.
  3. Interns are welcome.
  4. Strong understanding of WordPress core concepts and PHP fundamentals.
  5. Proven experience in customizing WordPress themes and creating custom plugins.
  6. Proficiency in frontend technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  7. Solid understanding of SQL databases and the ability to write complex queries.
  8. Experience with version control systems like Git.
  9. Ability to work independently, self-manage tasks, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  11. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms.
  12. Must be able to work on tight deadlines without compromising quality.
