Lead Operational Risk Analyst

The Lead Operational Risk Analyst plays a crucial role in identifying and mitigating risks within the organization's business processes and systems. This involves working closely with business units to assess risk levels, identify areas for improvement, and implement control measures to ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the identification of operational risks throughout business processes and systems, including conducting independent quality assurance and process testing.
  • Facilitate risk assessment performance, including facilitating business unit assessments and implementing control improvements.
  • Support control monitoring, including compiling key operational risk trends, activities, and events.
  • Proactively identify areas of high-risk for intervention, including conducting thematic risk reporting to provide actionable insights on risk levels, emerging trends, and root causes.

Requirements:

  • 2+ Years experience in operational risk management, preferably within a Risk and/or Internal Audit function, understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in at least one of the following: supporting identification of operational risks, facilitating risk assessment performance, supporting independent control monitoring, or compiling thematic risk reports.
