Mobile Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer to collaborate with our product team and API engineers in building a mobile application for efficient livestock management.

The system is designed to leverage Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) instead of traditional electric shocks, enabling cattle herding and monitoring through painless muscle cues.

This solution provides control without additional fencing and enables easy deployment. The system transmits health and location data directly to a cloud backend and mobile app.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the product team and farming partners to understand their work so you can build an app that meets their requirements.
  • Maintain a high bar of engineering and coding standards.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in building mobile apps using React Native.
  • Proficient in the TypeScript ecosystem, including monorepos.
  • Thorough understanding of the interface guidelines for Apple and Android apps.
  • Experience in submitting apps on the App Store and the Play Store.
  • Ability to debug and optimize complex systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with mapping libraries in React Native or Native frameworks.
  • Understanding of the native iOS and Android ecosystems.
  • Good knowledge of UX best practices for SaaS based interfaces & AI.
  • Contributed to open-source projects.

Your First Six Months:

  • Build a mobile app that will allow farmers to see their farm map with multiple layers and annotations.
  • Work with various aspects of the map feature.
  • Create virtual polygons to plot the region for their farms on the map.
  • Annotate the polygons with points of interest.
  • Generate heat maps of the farm livestock activity.
  • Integrate with APIs to let farmers view their livestock on the map.
