Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing electrical systems for power substations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing accepted practices and standards to ensure that all designs meet the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and oversee complex substation project plans, including scope, WBS, and execution strategy.
  • Develop project plans, including project scope of work and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) for complex multi-discipline-based substation Engineering projects and EPC projects
  • Manage Substation project execution, including project scope, schedule, budget, and project resources, including external vendors, consultants, and contractors
  • Effectively track and stabilize projects, implement solutions to obstacles, and ensure client goals are achieved
  • Attend client meetings and communicate concerns and changes with the client to ensure a positive relationship and growth opportunities
  • Ensure team adherence to QA/QC program
  • Electrical layout/plan of substation equipment and structures
  • Substation foundation layout/plan drawings
  • Control building layout/plan and section/elevation drawings
  • Lead, mentor, and help grow a team of engineers and designers
  • Assist in annual performance reviews
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • ~8+ years of direct substation physical and electrical engineering experience.
  • ~ Professional engineering license in any state and the ability to acquire further licensure in other states.
  • ~ A combination of education and a demonstrated related experience may be considered in lieu of education and experience requirements.
  • ~ Solid comprehension and application of design software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • ~ Proficient with Windows-based software such as Word and Excel, which are frequently used to develop project deliverables.
  • ~ Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
  • ~ Ability to work in a team environment with others, including, but not limited to, project managers, engineers, designers, and drafters in multi-discipline groups.
  • ~ Strong attention to detail and work product quality.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and other 3D applications
