About the Opportunity

Quantzig, a global analytics and advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join their team. This role will involve designing and implementing data systems using Medallion Architecture principles to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure data platforms, including Azure SQL, Synapse, and Data Factory, as well as expertise in building and managing scalable ETL pipelines.

Job Responsibilities

* Design and implement data systems using Medallion Architecture principles to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
* Build, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines to handle large volumes of data across diverse sources.
* Leverage Azure data services to develop and deploy data solutions.
* Create and maintain efficient data models that align with business needs and improve data accessibility.
* Implement and enhance automation in data workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
* Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all processes.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align on goals, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Proficiency in modern data engineering practices and cloud-based tools.
* Hands-on experience with Azure data platforms, including Azure SQL, Synapse, and Data Factory, Databricks & Data Lake.
* Expertise in building and managing scalable ETL pipelines.
* Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture or similar layered frameworks.
* Working knowledge of Power BI and SQL (not at expert level).
* Familiarity with tools and frameworks for automation and workflow orchestration.

Soft Skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
* 4+ years of relevant experience in data engineering roles.

Additional Details

* Estimated salary: ₹1,200,000 - ₹2,400,000 per annum (depending on location and experience).
