The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Data SRE to join our Data Production Engineering team. As a Data SRE, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our production data services, including relational databases, noSQL datastores, data caching, and streaming services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data systems and services that meet the needs of our customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of data systems.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline data system management.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and recommend improvements to our data systems.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience designing and building complex computing and data systems.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Systems Architect or Systems Architect.
  • 2+ years of experience with medium to large-scale clustered data system environments.
  • Strong understanding of computer internal architecture and design.
  • Ability to work with large-scale functional data system architectures and implementation designs.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with operational support systems, automation, and CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of a variety of programming languages, including Python, C, C++, and Go.
  • Knowledge of modern data technologies, such as MongoDB, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, Kafka, Pulsar, and Redis.
  • Knowledge of cloud and virtualization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, KVM, OpenStack, or any orchestration platforms.
