The Senior Rebar BIM Modeler at Arth is a pivotal role in our team, responsible for delivering high-quality 3D rebar models using BIM tools and software. This position requires expertise in rebar detailing, BIM modeling, and coordination with various project stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of reinforced concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We require a skilled professional to develop 3D rebar models using BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Tekla Structures, or equivalent.
  • Review structural drawings and specifications to interpret and model rebar layouts accurately, ensuring compliance with industry codes and project-specific requirements.
  • Prepare detailed rebar shop drawings, schedules, and bar bending schedules (BBS) for fabrication and construction, focusing on precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure that models meet design requirements and are in line with project goals, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts by coordinating with other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural) in BIM models, maintaining a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Manage rebar modeling standards, ensuring compliance with industry codes and project-specific requirements, upholding the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Support project teams by providing expertise in rebar detailing and assisting in the resolution of complex modeling issues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with the BIM Manager to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of models and drawings, prioritizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Mentor junior modelers and provide technical guidance to improve team capabilities, promoting growth and development within the team.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in BIM and rebar detailing, remaining vigilant in the pursuit of excellence and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required for this position.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in rebar detailing and BIM modeling is necessary to excel in this role.
  • Proficiency in BIM tools like Autodesk Revit, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or equivalent is essential for success in this position.
  • A strong understanding of reinforced concrete detailing standards and codes (ACI, BS, IS, etc.) is crucial for delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects concurrently is vital for this role.

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of bar bending schedules (BBS) and rebar material specifications can be an asset for this position.
  • Experience in large-scale or complex construction projects can be beneficial for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and lead modeling efforts for projects can be an advantage for this position.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based BIM collaboration platforms (e.g., BIM 360) can enhance your skills for this role.

Arth offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, reflecting the importance of this role in our team.
