Job Overview

The Operations Manager - Factory Logistics will oversee the development and implementation of logistics strategies for various formats of battery cells manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, assembly materials, personal protective equipment, and consumables on the shop floor as per production plans.
  • Issue materials from warehouses to production using materials handling equipment such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Forklifts, etc.
  • Allocate personnel for tasks like kitting/de-palletizing, palletising/packing, material issues, internal scrap movement, etc.
  • Ensure zero stock variance through regular stock reconciliations, cycle counting, and variance analysis.
  • Move hazardous and non-hazardous scrap to designated areas.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders like production planning, process, maintenance, quality, IT contractors, supply chain management, etc. to ensure business requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensure accurate entries and passings in enterprise resource planning software and documents adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Adhere to industry standards.
  • Maintain and issue personal protective equipment and consumables.

Key Requirements

  • Deliver necessary materials to production at the right time and place.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders to prevent production stoppages due to material unavailability.
