Job Summary

The Data and Business Intelligence Analyst plays a pivotal role in building and maintaining data infrastructure while delivering insightful analysis through Power BI and Excel.

This is a hybrid role between data engineering and analytics, requiring strong technical skills in SQL, Python, and data pipelines, as well as the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising management and maintenance of data collection tools used by all departments
  • Designing, building, and maintaining robust ETL pipelines
  • Administering and optimizing the EduFinance SQL database on Microsoft Azure
  • Ensuring high-quality, clean, and well-documented data pipelines and dataflows
  • Implementing and maintaining data quality controls

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Undergraduate degree in data science, computer engineering, statistics, or another quantitative field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in SQL development and database administration (Azure SQL preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines (Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or similar tools)
  • Proficiency with APIs and data integration methods
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas, macros a plus)
  • Expertise in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard/report design)
  • Proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, and analysis

Language Skills

Fluency in English is required, fluency in French or Spanish is desirable but not required
