Job Description

We are a manufacturer of contemporary design hand-made carpets in India.

Our head office is located in Delhi and we have manufacturing facilities in Panipat and Bhadohi. We require a full-time designer in our Delhi office to create modern rug designs using various techniques, including cotton, wool, and jute rugs made on pitlooms, punja looms, kelim looms, and hand-tufted and modern hand-knotted carpets.

The ideal candidate will be an independent-minded, self-motivated, confident, and performance-oriented individual who can develop creative direction for the company across different product lines.

The successful candidate will have opportunities to share concept ideas of themes and collections, design rugs with appropriate qualities and textures, and stay up-to-date with new ideas of fibres, yarns & weaves for manufacturing.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree or diploma in design
  • At least 2-3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of carpet techniques, including hand tufting, hand knotting, and handloom
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, and Indesign
  • Working knowledge of Galaincha software (optional)
Key Responsibilities
  • Developing a detailed plan for creative direction of the company
  • Sharing concept ideas of themes and collections to develop
  • Designing rugs with appropriate qualities and textures
  • Staying up-to-date with new ideas of fibres, yarns & weaves for manufacturing
  • Planning exhibition stand design
  • Rendering rug designs in room settings
  • Designing catalogues and social media posts
  • Traveling to factories and exhibitions as required
