Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Sr Lead QA Automation Engineer to join our team.

This is an exceptional opportunity to enhance the Enterprise TruRisk Platform with a talented Lead QA Automation Engineer who can deliver roadmap features to measure, communicate, and eliminate cyber risks.

The successful candidate will have the chance to be part of a team building Qualys' next-generation platform using Big Data & Micro-Services technology to process billions of transactions per day.

Responsibilities
  • Lead automation efforts to achieve maximum coverage.
  • Develop automation frameworks using Java (Selenium) and automate big data workflows such as ingestion, aggregation, and ETL processing.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues within the big data ecosystem.
  • Set up the Big Data platform and Hadoop ecosystem for testing.
  • Define test strategies and write test plans for data platform enhancements and new features/services.
  • Establish operating procedures, service monitors, and alerts in collaboration with the NOC team.
  • Responsible for system & performance testing of the data platform and applications.
  • Solve problems, establish plans, and provide technical consultation in complex engineering projects.
  • Review product specifications and write test cases, develop test plans for assigned areas.
  • Identify issues and suggest possible solutions.
  • Test big data ingestion and aggregation flows using Spark Shell and related queries.
  • Implement end-to-end workflow automation using a framework.
  • Contribute to Test Automation Development/Enhancement.
  • Recreate complex customer-reported issues to determine root cause and verify fixes.
  • Leads teams of automation engineers to guide them and achieve end-to-end API, UI, and backend automation.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in full-time testing roles and 4-6 years in hands-on automation roles as leads.
  • Hands-on experience with Java and Selenium.
  • Experience with building and designing automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience in automating backend applications (e.g., databases, REST APIs).
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Good debugging skills.
  • Working experience in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Elastic.
