MarkmyBrand is seeking a highly skilled IPR Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an IPR Specialist, you will be responsible for handling various Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) matters, including trademarks and copyrights.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law, specifically in trademark and copyright laws. You will be expected to handle multiple cases simultaneously, manage deadlines, and provide top-notch legal advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Clients in Hearings: You will represent clients in trademark and copyright hearings before relevant authorities.
- Draft Legal Documents: You will draft and file responses to trademark objections, oppositions, and office actions.
- Conduct Research: You will conduct thorough legal research and provide advice on copyright and trademark matters.
- Maintain Client Relationships: You will maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case progress and provide strategic advice.
- Stay Updated: You will stay updated on the latest legal developments in the IPR field to provide sound legal counsel.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Qualification: LL.B. or LLM degree from a recognized university; enrollment with the Bar Council is mandatory.
- Experience: Experience in handling IPR matters, particularly trademarks and copyrights.
- Strong Drafting Skills: Strong drafting skills with experience in preparing objection replies, oppositions, and petitions.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills for client interactions and court appearances.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, plus benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $150,000, depending on experience.
