Job Title: Corporate Financial Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced financial leader to join our finance team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing our general ledger, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and preparing financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and oversee the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including annual audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Special Projects:

  • Analyze and evaluate business activities to identify potential intangible assets under IFRS 38.
  • Ensure the accurate recognition and measurement of intangible assets such as software, R&D costs, brands, patents, and goodwill.
  • Assist in the capitalization of development costs and amortization planning.
  • Perform periodic impairment testing of intangible assets.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all intangible assets.
  • Prepare disclosures and financial statements in compliance with IFRS 38.

Requirements:

  • CA with 8-10 years of experience in financial leadership and preparation.
  • Experience working in large corporate finance teams or Big 4 firms.
  • Exposure to global accounting standards like IFRS (IAS 38) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in handling IP/intangible asset-heavy industries like IT, pharma, or media is a plus.
