Berthing Resource Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Berthing Resource Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a vital role in coordinating berthing activities and ensuring smooth vessel arrivals.

• Coordinate with shipping lines to obtain vessel schedules and create vessel visits for upcoming vessels.
• Verify agreed window timeframes and communicate with vessel operators to ensure timely berthing.
• Reserve berths for vessels arriving on time and maintain first-come, first-served basis for out-of-window vessels.
• Update vessel information in BPA and check for suitability with other scheduled vessels.
• Schedule crane and resource plans 24 hours in advance and distribute for booking confirmation.
• Ensure accurate TOS updates and perform vital communication roles as a focal point for marine operations and shipping lines.
• Maintain weather situation awareness and circulate forecasts daily.
• Communicate with shift managers regarding wind speed increases and align PM/CM/EM requirements without impacting scheduled vessels.

• Experience in container terminal operations (3-5 years)
• Understanding of vessel characteristics/dimensions and factors impacting stability
• Work experience in container terminal operating systems
• Degree in relevant field (diploma or graduate)
• Excellent computer operating skills
