Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Operations Specialist.
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely application of customer payments and resolution of unapplied cash items according to established policies and procedures.
You will utilize your knowledge of customer collection strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
- Monitor and analyze customer accounts to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize collections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex customer issues and ensure timely resolution of unapplied cash items
- Meet defined department and individual goals along with assigned month-end reporting deadlines and activity metrics
Qualifications:
- Relevant years of experience in financial operations or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with ability to maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience working with CRM software and other financial systems
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Results-driven with ability to drive results and contribute to growth and success of the organization
