Job Title: Data Platform Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Developer to design, build and maintain our company's data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable data platforms using Python and strong software engineering skills.
  • Develop deep understanding of data platforms, including ingestion, transformation and consumption.
Technical Requirements:
  • Solid programming expertise in Python with strong fundamentals in computer science, data structures, algorithms and system design.
  • Proven problem-solving ability with focus on writing clean, maintainable and efficient code.
AWS Ecosystem Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services relevant to data engineering, including Amazon EMR, AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Hands-on experience building and scaling data platforms in production environments.
Additonal Requirements:
  • Proficiency in building event-driven systems using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, EventBridge and integrating these services into scalable and decoupled data pipelines and microservices.
  • Familiarity with designing and working within microservices-based architectures, including service communication, deployment strategies and monitoring.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep technical involvement in building, deploying and maintaining the data platform. You must be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
