Remote WordPress & PHP Developer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled WordPress & PHP Developer to join our team.

This is a full-time remote position, ideal for those who value flexibility and autonomy in their work environment. As a developer on our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable web solutions using WordPress and PHP technologies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Create dynamic and responsive websites using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
  • Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure robust, secure, and high-quality applications.
  • Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Foster best coding practices, maintain code quality, and adhere to project timelines.
  • Utilize remote collaboration tools efficiently.
Requirements & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in WordPress and PHP development.
  • Expertise in custom theme and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and familiarity with frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter (optional but preferred).
  • Solid understanding of MySQL database design, optimization, and integration.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and other third-party services.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows in distributed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, security standards, and website performance optimization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills — must be able to clearly articulate ideas, requirements, and technical solutions.
