Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Kafka Developer to design and implement automated migration pipelines for our enterprise Kafka workloads. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for scripting and provisioning migration steps, automating validation, rollback, and monitoring tasks to ensure seamless transitions to open-source or cloud-native clusters.

Your primary focus will be on developing and integrating custom plugins for Kafka Connect as part of migration workflows, leveraging your expertise in CI/CD processes and infrastructure-as-code management.

Additionally, you will build scalable processes for Kafka resource provisioning and configuration rollouts, ensuring data integrity, performance, and integration interfaces are thoroughly tested and validated.

You will also apply your skills to integrating with cloud orchestration tools like AWS MSK and Kubernetes operators, managing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and CloudFormation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need hands-on experience with Apache Kafka administration and migration, as well as scripting languages like Python, Go, and Bash.

A strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is essential, along with knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, and automation frameworks like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

Exposure to cloud services including AWS, GCP, and Azure is highly desirable, as well as experience with data ops and security automation.
