Job Title: GIS Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Developer to join our team. As a GIS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions using ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online).
  • Analysis and Optimization: Analyze user requirements to develop and optimize geospatial workflows and tools.
  • Integration: Integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs.
  • Data Automation: Develop scripts and tools for data automation, analysis, and processing (Python/ArcPy).
  • Spatial Data Modeling: Perform spatial data modeling, geoprocessing, and complex spatial analysis.
  • Maintenance and Optimization: Maintain and optimize spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server with spatial extensions).
  • Visualization: Create interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or Mapbox.
  • Testing and Documentation: Conduct performance tuning, testing, and documentation of GIS solutions.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide support and troubleshooting for GIS-related issues and enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development.
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online).
  • Experience in migrating Geocortex Essentials and custom HTML 5 web applications, related workflows and controls into ESRI's JavaScript API version 4.
  • Experience working in VertiGIS Studio Suite of tools and ESRI Experience Builder.
    • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript (Leaflet/ArcGIS API for JS), or .NET for GIS applications.
    • Experience with spatial databases: PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle Spatial.
    • Hands-on experience with FME, GDAL, or other ETL/data transformation tools.
    • Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs (REST/SOAP).
    • Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM).
    • Familiarity with open-source GIS platforms (QGIS, GeoServer, MapServer) is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and documentation skills.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certifications in GIS (e.g., Esri Technical Certification).
    • Experience working with cloud GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise on AWS/Azure).
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
