Job Title: Professional Software Development Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software development lead to join our team. As a professional software development lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance, code reviews, and technical support to software engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure successful delivery of software projects.
  • Assist in the growth and mentorship of team members through regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.
  • Contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy by participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments.
  • Manage project tasks and assignments, prioritizing work to meet project goals.
  • Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in one or more software languages and development methodologies.
  • Strong programming and debugging skills.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with advanced degrees in related fields or relevant certifications/training will be preferred.
