Cloud Engineer for Financial Data Architecture

The role of Cloud Engineer within the Accounting & Finance Technology domain is pivotal in shaping next-generation financial data architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging cloud-based technologies to build scalable, trusted, and cost-optimized financial data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Warehouse Solutions: Design and implement enterprise-grade data warehouse solutions in Snowflake, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance for finance and accounting use cases.
  2. dbt Data Modeling: Lead adoption and best practices in dbt for financial data transformations, lineage, and governance.
  3. Financial Systems Expertise: Translate complex accounting and financial concepts into technical designs and data flows.
  4. Pipeline Development and Automation: Build and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt, integrating data from multiple enterprise and financial systems.
  5. Data Integrity and Compliance: Ensure data accuracy, auditability, and compliance with financial reporting requirements and internal controls.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 12-15 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, with strong emphasis on financial data systems.
  • Technical Skills: 5+ years working with Snowflake (or equivalent MPP systems), with deep Snowflake exposure required; 3+ years using dbt for data modeling, transformation, and governance in enterprise-scale environments.
  • SQL Expertise: Strong SQL skills, with ability to design efficient queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned models.
