Finance Lead

Overview:

This is a high-impact leadership role that encompasses financial strategy, planning, and execution. As Finance Lead, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end ownership across multiple functions, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Business Finance, Internal Controls, Compliance, Reporting, and Taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
    • Develop and implement quarterly and annual budget plans that align with company growth and margin goals.
    • Build robust forecasting models to track key SaaS metrics, such as LTV, CAC, NRR, payback period, contribution margins, and ROI on marketing spends.
    • Drive variance analysis, scenario planning, and cost-benefit assessments for strategic decisions.
  2. Cash Flow Management:
    • Manage cash flow to support business continuity and growth.
    • Monitor monthly runway and raise early alerts to leadership.
    • Optimize working capital and the cash conversion cycle using AI-led process improvements.
  3. Business Strategy Support:
    • Collaborate with leadership to align financial goals with overall business strategy.
    • Provide financial input during strategic planning sessions and other significant business decisions.
  4. Reporting & Compliance:
    • Own monthly management information systems (MIS), board decks, and leadership updates.
    • Lead audit closures and ensure timely statutory filings.
    • Maintain internal controls and adherence to financial regulations.
  5. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Mentor and grow a strong finance team across functions.
    • Encourage an AI-first mindset and foster a culture of automation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • CA Qualified or MBA from top-tier institutions.
  • Prior experience in business finance is required.
  • Excellent written and oral articulation skills.
  • Highly competent in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Great analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and keen to learn.
  • Experience or strong interest in applying AI in finance workflows.
