Platform Product Group Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable systems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices.

As a senior staff software engineer on our platform product group, you will be responsible for architecting and developing large-scale distributed systems that meet critical business needs. You will work closely with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop scalable systems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define strategic roadmaps and provide technical guidance.
  3. Develop new services and features to meet critical business needs using Golang and Java.
  4. Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them.
  5. Work with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
  6. Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of customers.
  7. Review feature designs within your product area and across the company for cross-cutting projects.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in architecting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong technical skills for system design and coding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bias toward open, transparent cultural practices.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Blockchain technology.
  • Proficiency in Golang, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
