Accounting Specialist Position

A forward-thinking organization seeks an experienced accounting specialist to assume key responsibilities in financial record management, tax compliance, and client advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records for US-based clients by maintaining ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial data to guarantee transparency and compliance.
  • Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing reports that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections, promoting cash flow optimization.
Tax Compliance & Reporting
  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns in accordance with IRS guidelines, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Guarantee tax compliance by meeting filing deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to optimize their tax strategies, minimizing liabilities while maximizing legitimate deductions.
Regulatory Compliance & Advisory
  • Provide guidance on regulatory requirements related to IRS, state agencies, and other governing bodies, ensuring seamless compliance.
  • Support clients through financial audits, tax audits, and related assessments, providing expert advice and counsel.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance regulatory compliance, fostering a culture of excellence.
Cross-Border Taxation and Advisory
  • Offer insightful guidance on cross-border tax implications for US entities operating globally, mitigating potential risks.
  • Provide expertise on withholding taxes, foreign investments, and treaty benefits, empowering clients to make informed decisions.
Client Management & Communication
  • Build strong relationships with clients by delivering timely and accurate service, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Effectively communicate financial performance and tax obligations to clients, ensuring transparency and understanding.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in accounting or a related field, preferably with a CPA or EA certification. They should demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with strong attention to detail and effective communication abilities. Proficiency in accounting and tax software, such as QuickBooks and TurboTax, is also essential.
