Job Profile:

The Primary English Teacher plays a pivotal role in developing and delivering engaging lesson plans that enhance students' literacy skills. This position involves creating a supportive learning environment that fosters a love for reading and writing, while accommodating diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater for various learning styles, incorporating best practices in education to promote student engagement and understanding.
  • Instruction: Teach reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary through interactive and engaging methods, utilizing technology to enhance the learning experience and accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Assessment: Evaluate and assess student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents to promote student growth and development.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration, while promoting a culture of respect and responsibility.
  • Support: Identify and support students with varying levels of ability, providing additional resources or interventions as needed to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
  • Communication: Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns, maintaining open and regular communication to promote a sense of community and shared responsibility.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in education, attending workshops and training as necessary to remain current and effective in the role.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with a strong focus on literacy development and teaching methodologies.
  • Teaching certification or licensures in primary education, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
