About Food Production Leadership, a challenging role in the bakery and confectionery industry. This position requires end-to-end factory operations management, ensuring safe and high-quality output at optimal cost.

  • Develop daily/weekly/monthly production plans and schedules to meet business objectives.
  • Drive efficiency, yield, and OEE through Lean methods; reduce waste and downtime.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), recipes, and specifications; resolve floor issues promptly.
  • Manage raw materials and packaging requirements with Procurement; maintain optimal inventories.
  • Lead manpower allocation, rosters, and overtime; partner with HR on hiring and staffing.
  • Oversee factory trials and scale-up for new products from pilot to full production.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, such as FSSAI, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); analyze trends and implement improvements.

Requirements

  • Bakery/Pastry Chef, Food Technology or Engineering degree.
  • 10+ years in production/plant leadership within bread/bakery/confectionery.
  • Proven multi-shift management and supervisor leadership experience.
  • Deep knowledge of bakery processes, equipment, and ingredients.
  • Strong command of production planning, inventory control, and Lean/CI tools.
  • Working knowledge of food-safety protocols.
