This is a critical role for someone who is passionate about technology and customer needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled engineers to design and develop data platforms that are scalable, reliable, and efficient.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and leadership, with experience in building high-scale enterprise Business Intelligence and data engineering solutions. They will be responsible for managing multiple projects, including timelines, customer interaction, feature tradeoffs, etc. They will also be responsible for championing data-driven decisions for features identification, prioritization, and delivery.

  • Design and architect internet scale and reliable services.
  • Leverage machine learning models knowledge to select appropriate solutions for business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively and build relationships with partner teams and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the value of data, data exploration, and the benefits of a data-driven organizational culture. They will also have strong communication skills and proficiency with executive communications.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Build and lead a world-class data engineering team.
  • Manage multiple projects, including timelines, customer interaction, feature tradeoffs, etc.
  • Deliver on an ambitious product and services roadmap, including building new services on top of vast amounts of data collected by batch and near real-time data engines.
  • Help shape long-term architecture and technology choices across the full client and services stack.
  • Understand talent needs of the team and help recruit new talent.
  • Mentor and grow other engineers to bring in efficiency and better productivity.
  • Experiment with and recommend new technologies that simplify or improve the tech stack.
