IT Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a skilled IT Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the security operations center, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security logs, identifying potential threats, and implementing effective countermeasures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SIEM tools, such as Qradar, LogRhythm, and AlienVault, and experience with AV tools like Symantec, McAfee, and Trend Micro. They will also possess knowledge of vulnerability management and remediation techniques, as well as incident response and reporting.

• Security Logging and Analysis: Review security logs generated by applications, devices, and other systems, taking action or escalating to appropriate teams as needed.
• Threat Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential threats and implement effective countermeasures to prevent or minimize damage.
• Vulnerability Management: Manage vulnerability tools and various remediation efforts to ensure the organization's security posture is strengthened.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Security Operations Center.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, including NIST and ISO27001.
