Job Responsibilities

This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting into the leader of Supplier Quality Manager in India, and closely working with Global Supplier Quality. The individual would be responsible to manage business processes for resolution of customer quality issues. This includes program management and team leadership to meet key quality metrics, addressing root causes of customer and manufacturing non-conformances.

  • Work with SET Commodity SE's to effectively drive 8D/RCCA problem resolution of customer quality issues (NCe); includes program management and team leadership to meet key quality metrics (FA cycle time, 8D-D5 cycle time, 8D effectiveness, 8D audit score, etc.)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams and stakeholders (PG FQM, QPL's, AT's)
  • Communicate clearly across engineering specializations and different levels of the organization.
  • Initiate and gather feedback for continuous improvement on business processes to meet customer and company quality expectations.
  • Drive accountability throughout the SET organization, including action item tracking and escalation.
  • Develop best practices and best-known methods related to quality improvement.
  • Assist new SET engineers and managers in learning the Lam iQMS system (NCe/MRBe/8D).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Materials, etc.) with 10+ years of relevant industrial experience (6+ years if Master's degree)
  • Hands-on experience in solving various quality problems through structured 8D/other problem-solving tools.
  • Competent in conducting failure analysis.
  • Proficient in addressing manufacturing and/or engineering challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in global cross-functional teams within a dynamic/fast-paced business environment.
  • Ability to think critically and draw conclusions via sound data analysis.
  • Strong communication (written & verbal); excellent presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Manufacturing Engineer
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Program management certification like PMP
  • Six Sigma Green/Black belt

'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
